Environment
Our Environmental Science team is led by Michael Way, Principal Environmental Consultant, with more than thirty years of experience.
Brief outline of environment team capabilities:
- Environmental impact assessment and land contamination assessment in accordance with technical guidance and legislated requirements.
- Land condition reporting can include Phase One desktop studies and site investigations concerning 'Contamination of Concern' that may include issues with Asbestos, Heavy Metal Compounds, Pesticides, Hydrocarbons, Ground gas. We will undertake the research, conduct a site survey / recon, conduct tiered risk assessments, scope and oversee invasive site investigation in a Geo-Environmental context. We also scope remediation requirements.
- Noise, light and visual, air, soil and water - assessment of impact (before and after development) and advice regarding mitigation.
- Phased construction environmental management plans - flora and fauna protection, soil erosion, water quality management.
Construction
Our Building Surveyors are qualified to assess building compliance matters, manage projects, and work with certifiers to assist in the development process that often appears daunting to the proponent or other development stakeholder. Our skills also includes being able to assess Geotechnical aspects of a construction project that can often be integrated with our Environmental Science assessments.
Property Inspections
We are here to ensure that due diligence inspections meet your needs, are conducted in accordance with guidance such as AS4349.1 and AS4349.3 by an appropriately qualified, experienced and licensed professional. As indicated above we undertake land condition reporting and site monitoring works. The combined skills of the environental science consultant team, the building surveyor team and structural pest specialists, provides our clients with a unique opportunity to understand the risks and liabilities inherrent in a property - by using the integrated and coherent services of one consultancy.
